A small Mexican village is being rank-sacked on a continuous basis by a gang. The villagers, mainly poor and tame farmers, decide to hire some mercenaries to help rid the village from these outlaws. They have literally no money and have to rely on one mercenary's goodwill, Chris (Yul Brunner) to convince 5 of his exceptional and unique friends to come join him in his unusual battle. Vin (Steve McQueen), Bernardo (Charles Bronson), Lee (Robert Vaughn), Britt (James Coburn) and Calvera (Eli Wallach), and would-be hero Harry (Brad Dexter) are the magnificent seven who will try to free the village from oppression, with wit, courage and humor, whilst encountering myths and many unexpected challenges.
