The movie spins around the young boy, Will Stanton (Alexander Ludwig) who is a day away from celebrating his fourteenth birthday and also, Christmas is close to Will's birthday. On his birthday, two strange farmers come to meet him and present him a Christmas tree and predict bad weather. That was the day where, Will comes to know that he is the last of the old ones, Miss. Greythorne (Frances Conroy), the local mistress of the manor and her assistant, Merriman Lyon (Ian McShane) and the two farmers, who are fighting against The Dark and henceforth serving The Light. On the same day, Will was forcefully dragged on an evil white horse, by The Rider (Christopher Eccleston), from whom Will comes to know that in five days time the power of the evil, The Dark will rise. Will, the seventh son of seventh son, last of the old ones to be born, has the responsibility to save the world from the rising evil.
